Welcome to Erie Shores Council

The Erie Shores Council proudly delivers the Scouting experience to youth and families throughout Northwest Ohio. Serving Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Wood, and eastern Fulton counties, our council provides fun, adventure, and character-building programs designed to help young people develop leadership skills, build confidence, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Through Scouting, youth have the opportunity to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, serve their communities, and grow into responsible citizens and leaders.

Our Mission

Scouting America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Erie Shores Council works to provide quality programs, trained leaders, and safe environments where Scouts can learn, lead, and succeed.

Adventure Awaits

From camping and outdoor adventures to leadership development, service projects, and family activities, Erie Shores Council offers opportunities for youth of all ages. Our council operates several unique facilities, including Camp Miakonda at the DeVilbiss Scout Reservation and Camp Frontier at Pioneer Scout Reservation, providing exceptional setting for camping, training, and special events.

For more than a century, Scouting has helped prepare young people to become leaders and make a positive in their communities. Through the dedication of volunteers, families, and supporters, Erie Shores Council continues to bring the benefits of Scouting to thousands of youth each year.
