Camp staff members are the heart of the camp experience. Though they come from different backgrounds and bring unique talents, they share a common purpose: helping every camper grow in Scouting skills, confidence, and character while having fun along the way.

A great staff member combines energy, leadership, patience, knowledge, and a genuine respect for every camper. They serve as teachers, mentors, role models, and problem-solvers, always striving to create a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for all.

Camp staff go the extra mile - not because it is easy, but because they understand the lasting impact they can have on a young person's life. Long after camp is over, campers may forget what was taught, but they will remember the staff members who inspired them, encouraged them, and made their time at camp special.

Applications are accepted for individuals 15 years of age or older. Youth aged 14 may apply to serve as a Counselor-in-Training. Director and management-level positions are available to applicants 18 years of age and older. Seasonal salaries for a first-year staff member start at $750 for the summer and are adjusted based on age and experience. Area directors and leadership roles start at $900 and up.

Camp season runs from June 8 through July 17.

The Camp Miakonda Leadership Team is happy to announce that we will be offering additional uniform items that can be purchased for the 2026 camp season. Clothing options include additional camp staff t-shirts, hoodies, and zip-up sweatshirts.
