Support Scouting and Make a Difference
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Brave, Clean, and Reverent—values that have guided generations of young people to lead lives of character, integrity, and service.
For over 115 years, Scouting has empowered America’s youth to make ethical and moral choices that shape their futures and strengthen our communities. Here in the Erie Shores Council, thousands of young people have experienced the life-changing impact of Scouting, grounded in the timeless principles of the Scout Oath and Law.
By contributing to the Erie Shores Council’s Friends of Scouting Campaign, you become part of this incredible legacy. Your generosity ensures that even more youth will have the opportunity to grow into leaders, innovators, and compassionate citizens.
Join us in building a brighter future—one Scout at a time. Your support makes it all possible!
Invest in the Future of Scouting
The FOS campaign is a cornerstone of the Erie Shores Council’s mission, providing essential funding to deliver exceptional Scouting programs to youth across our communities. Each year, we invest approximately $424 per Scout to ensure every unit has the tools, resources, and support needed to create life-changing experiences.
It’s important to know that the annual youth registration fee you pay goes directly to the national Boy Scouts of America for program development—none of it stays local to support our council’s operating budget. That’s where your generosity comes in.
By contributing to the FOS campaign, you help sustain the vital programs and services that empower our Scouts to grow into confident, capable leaders. Together, we can ensure that the values and opportunities of Scouting continue to thrive in our area. Your support makes it all possible. Will you join us in making an impact today?

Matching Gifts and Volunteer Grant Programs
Workplace giving and matching programs are sponsored by many companies to encourage charitable donations by employees and to award employee volunteerism. These programs provide Scouting families with an easy way to enhance Friends of Scouting contributions, by matching contributions dollar for dollar and sometimes even tripling your gift.
In addition, many companies also recognize employee volunteer time such as being a merit badge counselor, unit leader, or committee member, by providing local grants to support Scouting council-wide.
Our council is often an eligible recipient of types of programs. See if your employer will match your gift to Scouting by using the matching gift search tool below:
